The MOOBment

Show Notes

Oh boy Oh boy. Oh boy. Welcome to the very first episode in our brand new series: Beyond the Ballpark—where we explore meaningful ways to connect with our boys outside of sports. Because let’s be honest… not every boy plays on a team. And even when they do, some of the most important moments happen off the field. In this Episode 12 of The MOOBment Podcast, I’m joined by the COO behind Raddish Kids, a hands-on cooking experience designed to bring families together in the kitchen—and create something even more meaningful than just a meal. Also with us is Natasha Weprin,a MOOB, who put Raddish Kids to the test in her kitchen with her three young sons.

We talk about: • Why connection with our boys doesn’t have to revolve around sports • How shared activities (like cooking!) build confidence, communication, and independence • What happens when we slow down and create intentional one-on-one time • Real ways to engage our boys in something they can own and feel proud of

This episode is about more than recipes… it’s about relationships. It’s about finding new ways to show up, connect, and create memories that last far beyond childhood.

💙 Whether your son is athletic, not athletic, or somewhere in between—and whether you as a mom love sports or just can't relate to sports, this conversation is for you.

What happens when a mom decides it’s finally her turn to chase a dream? Tara Pinkerton joins The MOOBment Podcast to talk about raising boys, motherhood, rediscovering herself, and stepping into a new chapter as a singer-songwriter. She shares the story behind her new single, “Backburner,” and what it means to stop putting yourself last. This heartfelt conversation is for every mom who has spent years showing up for everyone else and wondered whether there’s still time to do something just for herself. Tara reminds us that motherhood can be a huge part of who we are without being the only part — and that sometimes the dreams we’ve put on the back burner are still waiting for us.Whether you’re raising little boys, teenagers or grown sons, this conversation is a reminder that there is no single roadmap for motherhood—and no one-size-fits-all way to raise a boy.
