it's been a few weeks since we settled into new york and we're here to answer the big question everyone asks... does moving solve all your problems? and the short answer is: it solves some and creates others. so we reflect on how the move has felt so far, the problems it’s helped us leave behind, and the new challenges we’ve been facing.

it's all too familiar experience feeling every other emotion on your birthday, but joy. the birthday blues are more common - sadness, anxiety, pressure, loneliness, reflection. but what if you didn't expect joy out of your birthday, and rather used it as a day to simply exist without overwhelming expecations. remember, it's YOUR birthday and u have one day of the year that is alllll yours. u can choose to not have a party, not sing happy birthday, spend it alone... the options are infinite. bc it's YOUR birthday.
this overshared is a little bit different because this time we decided to overshare some of our embarrassing stories. so from blacking out to making out with ur friends, sometimes things just happen. but we still read some of ur guys' overshares of course which made us reflect on our own behaviors...
recently gael has been sleep talking and um it's reaching a point. because on top of that, he's also been sleep walking and hitting. he must be stopped. anyways, it made us think... how much are we responsible for what we say or do in our sleep? like what if u accidentally share a secret... or say another person's name with ur lover next to u.. or u slap someone. how much of it is excusable because you're sleeping?
now hear me out... what if... we just all lived with our friends until we're old or married and hang out everyday and enjoy each others awesomeness. what's the appeal of living alone compared to this? having roommates gets a bad rep but when you can choose who you live with, it feels like family. so if ur thinking about getting that studio apartment to live by urselt, maybe think twice.
u know for people that love to go out and dance, we realize that a lot of the times, we’re anti-social. can both exist at the same time?? lmk. ok but we say this in a “we love the music so much there’s no reason to talk to each other and we don’t have the social battery to make conversation because this is our time to decompress” way. do u get it...
