Coffee & Cults: Everything You Don't Know About HollywoodShow Notes
VIDEO VERSION: https://youtu.be/c1164gKeuQY James Franco was not only an A list Hollywood star for the last 20 years, but a celebrity that was loved by the general public, behind the scenes however, James Franco’s reputation couldn’t have been more different. Through the 2000’s & the 2010’s, it was truly unbelievable how many projects James Franco was apart of, but unfortunately it wasn’t just acting happening on the sets of James Franco’s productions. From his earliest work in Hollywood on the set of the cult TV show Freaks & Geeks, accusations swirled about James Franco, at one point even exploding & physically lashing out at his co-star Busy Philipps. As JF’s celebrity star rose, James Franco’s behaviour & the stories from his sets became even darker. For years when women would come forward about James Franco’s behaviour & levy allegations against him, there would be enormous coordinations to keep the accusations hidden & out of the media. But in 2018, at the absolute height of his career, everything changed & James Franco’s horrendous unforgivable behaviour was finally exposed. And the spark that began the fire that torched James Franco’s career, was James Franco’s own enormous ego. So that’s what we’ll be discussing today, James Franco & the avalanche of allegations against him from many women & teenage girls. And James Franco’s appalling behaviour wasn’t just reserved to sets, with Franco even having to settle a lawsuit for millions of dollars with his former college students. We’ll also covering the repercussions of James Franco’s behaviour and how it effected his friendship and decade long collaborator, Seth Rogen. Franco & Rogen were a beloved duo, but James Franco’s expulsion from Hollywood has resulted in Rogen allegedly cutting James Franco off personally & professionally, with some people praising Seth Rogen for making and following through with a difficult decision, while others are criticising Seth Rogen for abandoning his & questioning just how much Seth Rogen knew about his former friend. Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie were once Hollywoods most beloved golden couples, but their almost ten year long divorce has revealed their relationship couldn’t have been further from golden.
Elizabeth Holmes is the reason I started my podcast & YouTube channel, Coffee & Cults. I've followed Elizabeth Holmes antics for almost 20 years when I was working in a blood lab. In today's very special episode we're going to be diving into absolutely EVERYTHING you need to know about Elizabeth Holmes. Whether you know nothing about Elizabeth Holmes, Theranos, Sunny Balwani or Billy Evans, or you know a lot, I think there's a lot of information in this episode that you weren't have heard before. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LISTENING!
Brittany Murphy was one of Hollywood’s biggest stars in the 1990's & early 2000's, but in a few short years her career would take a dramatic downturn.
Chris Hansen is an extremely nuanced figure, some him as a professional & ethical god that cannot be criticised & others see him as a self obsessed narcissist who only cares about money, fame & himself. This debate is set to explode over the coming weeks & months with the release of a new movie, Primetime starring Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen. Robert Pattinson is set to give an Oscar worthy performance as Chris Hansen in the new a24 movie, Primetime, & many have said Chris Hansen is portrayed as a wild ego driven lunatic. Chris Hansen himself has spoken out a lot about the movie, even though he hasn’t seen it, claiming Primetime lacks authenticity & admonishing the director & creatives behind the film for not reaching out to him. For several months leading up to the films release, Hansen spoke in many interviews & on his own youtube channel about toying with pursuing legal action, although after the films release Chris Hansen has said he is no longer likely to pursue a lawsuit. Of course given the fact that the film is about Chris Hansen, he’d be expected to give his opinion on it. But given how much he’s speaking about it & the amount of content he’s making about it, many people have speculated he doesn’t dislike this movie as much as he claims to.
Elizabeth Holmes thinks she can convince people she wasn’t lying… & I’m worried it’s going to work. Elizabeth Holmes is currently serving an eleven year prison sentence in Texas after she was convicted for three counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in relation to her company Theranos. Although the wire fraud was in relation to half a billion dollars, whistleblowers & journalists who exposed Elizabeth Holmes were always more concerned about the millions of patients who’s health & lives Elizabeth Holmes was gambling with so she could continue to enrich herself. Elizabeth Holmes didn’t care who she hurt, just wanted to keep the hundreds of millions of other peoples money flowing into Theranos to fund her lavish lifestyle of mansions, private jets & the best of everything.
