The Nielson Show

Show Notes

We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia.

It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda.

ESPN Senior NHL Writer Greg Wyshynski closed out today's episode with a bang! Greg stopped by to reveal his Stanley Cup predictions, point out which Oilers player carries the most pressure heading into opening night, and give his reaction to the blockbuster Kirill Marchenko trade. Plus, Greg gave an insider update on the ongoing Connor Hellebuyck situation as opening night arrives.

We finished the show like we always do with The Wrap from William Huff.

Jamie McLennan kicked off today's guest lineup, jumping straight into a breakdown of last night's thrilling overtime win and what makes this Oilers squad so fun to watch right now. The conversation quickly shifted to the crease, with Noodles evaluating Devon Levi—what sets him apart from previous Edmonton netminders of the McDavid era, and whether it's fair to label him the goalie of the future. The guys also looked down the ice at Minnesota's Jesper Wallstedt, discussing his potential to evolve into one of the league's elite goaltenders. To wrap things up, Noodles previewed tonight's marquee matchup in Ottawa as Brady Tkachuk makes his first emotional return to the nation's capital since being traded.
