The Neo story splits in two this week. Satechi has shipped the first color-matched accessory collection built specifically for the MacBook Neo — two hubs and a mouse in Citrus, Blush, Indigo, and Silver — finally answering the port complaints.Meanwhile, DigiTimes reports Apple is cutting Neo production by as much as 40 percent, not because demand slipped, but because the DRAM crunch and TSMC's AI-chip priorities have made the A18 Pro too expensive to keep pumping out. The panel also digs into battery replacement costs and long-term ownership, the first credible MacBook Neo 2 rumors, and what the community is asking as back-to-school season kicks off.

This week's episode tackles seven listener questions about whether a MacBook Neo can handle music production, video editing, game dev, and dental school, alongside a wave of new Neo rivals from Acer, Dell, and Google, Microsoft's choice to skip the budget fight, the Neo's surprisingly high repairability score, early macOS 27 Golden Gate reports, and resale-value questions.
The panel looks at the Neo as a Windows machine, five brands building Neo rivals, Gurman's Neo 2 forecast, new school deployments, and a battery-heavy Troubleshooting Corner.
