Jeff Howe, CJ Vogel and Hank South react from DKR after No. 7 Texas suffered a stunning 27-24 loss to Florida. The Longhorns followed a familiar script: an explosive opening drive, an extended offensive disappearance and a desperate fourth-quarter comeback that fell short. Arch Manning threw for just 176 yards against the nation’s 131st-ranked pass defense as Texas surrendered five sacks and completed only four passes beyond five yards.
The crew examines Steve Sarkisian’s play calling, the offensive line’s breakdowns, Manning’s continued regression and whether backup KJ Lacey should enter the conversation. They also discuss the failed fourth-down attempt that changed the game, Florida wearing down the defense and the potentially significant injury to Colin Simmons. With Ole Miss coming to Austin next, Texas has reached a season-defining crossroads.
