We Built the ULTIMATE Toronto Maple Leafs Player Using Attributes From Current Roster
Locked On Leafs - Daily Podcast On The Toronto Maple LeafsShow Notes
What if you could build the perfect Toronto Maple Leaf using only the best attributes from the current roster? Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti take on one of their favourite offseason exercises: Building the Best Leaf. They each get 10 attributes — offensive IQ, defensive IQ, heart, hands, toughness, shot, skating, passing, size and hitting — and can only use each Maple Leafs player once. Who has the best shot? Auston Matthews or Darren Raddysh? Who gets the best passing? Gavin McKenna is an easy choice. And which Leafs bring the perfect combination of size, skill, toughness and heart? The guys debate their picks and reveal their ultimate Frankenstein Maple Leaf. The guys also react to the NHL Network's Top 20 Defensemen list, where no Maple Leafs made the cut, and discuss why the absence of a true top-pairing defenseman might not be as concerning as some fans think. They also look at the strength of the Atlantic Division and the incredible number of elite young defensemen Toronto will have to face.
