More from The Poultry Edge
Rebecca Tierney previews the upcoming Poultry Meat Conferences taking place on Tuesday 29th September in the Hillgrove Hotel Monaghan, and on Wednesday 30th in Teagasc Moorepark, Cork.
For this episode of The Poultry Edge, we discuss ventilation systems in poultry units with Steven Lester, from JF McKenna. Ventilation systems are a vital equipment set up in any poultry house, and an area which has been discussed a lot in recent weeks and months during the longest heatwave we have experienced in recent times.
BroilerNet, which was a European 2022 Horizon Project, and which Teagasc was a partner in for the last number of years, helped develop and highlight innovative best practices on broiler farms across Europe.
Nick Paridaans, the International Poultry Hygiene Specialist with MS Schippers, joins Rebecca Tierney on the latest Poultry Edge to discuss terminal hygiene protocols, the process of cleaning and disinfecting after one flock, which is a hugely important step for giving the next flock the best chance for a healthy productive cycle.
Rebecca Tierney previews the Layer Conference 2026 which takes place in the Hillgrove Hotel, Old Armagh Road, Co. Monaghan on Wednesday May 20th.
