WNBA reporter Noa Dalzell brings on Washington Mystics reporter Jade Lawson to discuss the Mystics clinching a playoff berth as one of the youngest teams in WNBA history.

With the Mystics being one of the youngest teams in the WNBA the two discuss how the Mystics have clicked this season and found so much success with such a young core.

Jade gives a lot of credit to the success found from Shakira Austin as well as Sonia Citron.

Jade said this on Shakira Austin’s impact for Washington Mystics this season:

“For [Sydney] Johnson to mention ahead of this season that Shakira Austin is a franchise player, speaks volumes to the investment that he and his coaching staff believed in putting it behind Austin.”
