Could Dave Aranda Return to LSU? What It Means for Blake Baker

Speculation arises regarding the potential return of former LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda following his dismissal as head coach at Baylor. Host Matt Moscona addresses the question many fans have posed since Aranda's firing, discussing the current status of LSU's defensive coordinator, Blake Baker. Moscona emphasizes his desire for Baker to remain at LSU, citing his impressive track record in improving the team's defensive performance over recent seasons.

Baker, who has turned LSU's defense into one of the top-ranked units in the country, faces inevitable head coaching opportunities due to his talent and ambition. He also notes that if Baker were to leave, Aranda would likely be a top candidate for the defensive coordinator position at LSU, given his successful history with the program.

The conversation shifts to the broader coaching landscape, with three Power Five jobs currently open, including Baylor, NC State, and Maryland. Moscona highlights that while Baker's name has not surfaced prominently in discussions for these roles, the coaching carousel often leads to unexpected opportunities.
