For years, Daryl Mercer was just another quiet coworker at a Midwestern warehouse—until his unexplained injuries, disturbing questions about a colleague’s young daughter, and mysterious disappearances began raising serious concerns. On the edge of town, Daryl owns an abandoned meat-processing plant surrounded by a prison-like fence, its windows bricked over and its doors secured with countless locks. When his coworker finally investigates, he witnesses strange lights, hears muffled voices, and receives a chilling text from Daryl himself: “You should be home with your daughter.” But the most disturbing discovery comes after Daryl returns to work, seemingly unconcerned about the investigation. Whatever is hidden behind those sealed walls, Daryl may not be afraid of being caught; he may be afraid of what happens if something gets out.
