You cannot think your way out of anxiety. If you've ever sat in a desk before a test, running “you studied, you are fine, it is just a test” on a loop and feeling worse every single lap, this one is for you.I was the girl whose stomach rolled before state testing. Not nervous. Physically ill, on the verge of throwing up, praying nobody looked over. And I was trying so hard to reason my way to calm. It never worked, not one time, because the brain is the thing that is spinning. Asking it to fix itself is like asking the fire to put out the fire. What I didn't have at fifteen was something simple to actually do. Today I'm giving you the whole framework I teach my clients, all five steps of the PEACE Plan, start to finish, nothing held back. Five steps. Ninety seconds. Something you can run between classes, before the test, or standing in a bathroom stall. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

Why trying to reason with anxiety makes it louder instead of quieter All five steps of the PEACE Plan, walked in order What you are actually afraid of before a test, and it is not the questions How to pray the real thing instead of the polite version Why peace is not a feeling you wait for

Your one step this week: Do not wait until you are falling apart to try it. Run the five steps once tonight while you are calm, so your body already knows them when you actually need them.Coming Friday: Intrusive thoughts, and why having them does not mean something is wrong with you.xo, KristenFollow the show so it shows up for you every week.LET’S CONNECT! 🕊️ Free PEACE Plan Playbook: anxiouschristianteen.com/peace 🩶 Free community: anxiouschristianteen.com/community ❓ What Type of Anxious Teen Girl Are You?: anxiouschristianteen.com/quiz

Hey doll,Ever walk down the hallway and feel like every single head turns? Your hair decided to be frizzy today, you’re not sure you got the right New Balances, and you’re so hot on the inside you might actually catch fire. That feeling of everyone watching you is real. But what’s actually going on is usually not what you think. In this episode, I tell you about the night I walked into a gym with a brand new hairstyle and went from “I’m cute” to “I feel ridiculous” in about two seconds flat. Then I give you one tool for the second that heat starts rising, and three truths that take the power out of the spotlight. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

Hey mama,Is your teen’s anxiety your fault? If that question has been sitting heavy on your heart, I want you to hear me: no, it’s not. It doesn’t mean you missed something, it doesn’t mean you weren’t there for her, and it doesn’t mean you haven’t raised her to truly trust God.Maybe she’s been quieter lately, snapping at everybody, or falling apart the second she gets in the car. You want to help, but you’re scared of saying the wrong thing. So today I’m giving you a simple way to start that conversation, one that won’t send her running to her room. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

Hey doll!Somebody asks if you’re okay, and before you can even think, it slips right out: “I’m good. I can handle it.” Baby sis, that might be the most expensive sentence you’ll say all year.Today I’ve got my coaching hat on, and I’m calling you out a little bit. That’s because “I can handle it” usually isn’t about being stubborn. It’s about being scared. I’m sharing the time saying it almost put me in the hospital, what pride really has to do with anxiety, and what God’s Word says about asking for help. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

How do I tell my mom I’m not okay?Hey doll. There’s something you’ve been meaning to tell your mama. Maybe you’ve almost said it a few times. In the kitchen. On the drive home from practice. Right before she turned off your light. And every single time, you decided later would be better.Telling your mama you’re struggling with anxiety is scary. It means admitting you’re not quite as “fine” as you’ve let her believe. You don’t want her to feel like she did something wrong, you don’t want her to panic, and you definitely don’t want her to brush it off. So you wait for the right time. But here’s the truth, baby sis: the perfect moment to have a difficult conversation doesn’t exist. The best we can do is find the calmest one. This one’s for you and your mama, so listen together or go grab her after. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

Is my anxiety bad enough to get help? If you’ve ever asked yourself that, lying in bed replaying your whole day, this one’s for you.Anxiety is everywhere right now. Everybody’s “so anxious” about the test, the game, the group chat. So when your stomach turns, your heart races, and your brain won’t stop picking apart every little thing, it’s easy to decide that’s just normal, and that other girls need help way more than you do.Baby sis, that’s not humility. That’s the anxiety talking. And I know, because in high school I sat across from a school counselor and convinced her I was totally fine. What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
