Camara vs Scott vs Altimira: Which Midfielder Does Liverpool Need Most?

NEWSROUND PART 3.

Dave Davis returns with another edition of Newsround on Anfield Index, taking a closer look at Liverpool's midfield recruitment plans and the players being linked with moves to Anfield.

With Lamine Camara and Alex Scott reportedly high on Liverpool's shortlist, Dave examines the different qualities each midfielder could bring to Andoni Iraola's side.

Sergi Altimira, Manu Koné and Felix Nmecha also feature in a detailed comparison of potential targets, including their defensive contributions, passing statistics, injury records and suitability for Liverpool's system.

Steven Gerrard believes Liverpool still lack a powerful, defensively minded midfielder capable of controlling the centre of the pitch. But should the Reds pursue a traditional Fabinho-style holding player or a more mobile, ball-winning option?

Dave also considers whether Liverpool should strengthen in January or wait until the summer, with Alexis Mac Allister's uncertain contract situation adding another dimension to the club's long-term plans.

Who represents the best value? What type of midfielder does Iraola need? And could Liverpool's recruitment decisions shape the next stage of their rebuild?
