Summary
As Halloween approaches, the Mayfair Podcast hosts engage in a lighthearted discussion about the quirks of color perception, personal anecdotes, and the upcoming film screenings at the Mayfair Theatre. The conversation shifts from humorous exchanges about color names to nostalgic memories of past cinema experiences, including a wedding that never happened at the theater and the various ways people have enjoyed films over the years.
The hosts also preview two notable films screening this week: "The Golden Spurtle," a quirky documentary about a Scottish village's World Porridge Championship, and "Possible Love," a South Korean drama that has garnered critical acclaim. They highlight the unique charm of these films while also preparing for Halloween-themed screenings, including the classic horror film "The Exorcist" and the cult favorite "Troll 2." The excitement builds as they discuss the significance of these films in the context of the Halloween season and the community's engagement with the theater.
In addition, the hosts reflect on the popularity of "Rocky Horror Picture Show," which has sold out multiple screenings, showcasing the Mayfair's strong connection to its audience. The episode wraps up with a hint of future plans, including a potential Neil Breen month, leaving listeners eager for what's to come.
