Ep 519 Guest Today from the DWTS World, Survivor's Tribal Brings Up Interesting Hypothetical, Love is Blind's Rob Has an Epic Meltdown, & The Mob on Hulu
Reality Steve PodcastSummary
Corky Ballas, a former pro on "Dancing with the Stars" and father of Mark Ballas, shares insights about the show and his ex-wife Shirley Ballas in an upcoming podcast episode. He discusses the judging inconsistencies between different dance styles, arguing that the show should separate dance genres for fairer evaluations. Ballas believes that having a night dedicated to each style, such as Argentine tango or contemporary dance, would enhance the competition's integrity.
The podcast also covers recent developments in reality TV, particularly the latest episode of "Survivor." The host expresses dissatisfaction with the three-tribe format, suggesting it lacks suspense and clarity during tribal councils. He raises questions about the implications of players using idols and shot-in-the-dark advantages in such a small group, calling for clearer rules regarding potential outcomes.
Additionally, the host critiques the latest episode of "Love is Blind," focusing on the dramatic downfall of Rob and Michaela's relationship. He highlights Rob's troubling behavior during a mixer, where his actions and the influence of his friends lead to significant tension. The host emphasizes the need for Rob to confront his unresolved issues, suggesting that his past traumas and coping mechanisms are affecting his current relationships.
Lastly, the host shares his thoughts on the new series "The Mob," likening it to "The Traitors" but criticizing its lack of engaging strategy and depth. He concludes that the show fails to capture the same intrigue, leaving viewers disinterested.
