The God Who Heals | Episode 4 | Five Reasons I Know God Wills To Heal
Duane Sheriff Ministries - MessagesShow Notes
If it is God's will to heal, why isn't everyone healed? The fact that not everyone receives healing does not change God's will any more than the fact that not everyone overcomes sin changes His will for us to live a life free from it.
In Episode 4 of "The God Who Heals," Duane Sheriff lists five reasons he knows God wills to heal and wills to heal all: God's nature, His love, His name, His mercy, and His Word. He focuses specifically on two of those powerful foundations for our confidence: the name of Jesus and God's mercy.

The apostle Peter did not attribute the healing of the lame man in Acts 3 to his own power, holiness, or position as an apostle. The man was made whole through faith in the name of Jesus. That name has not changed or lost its power. Jesus is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. Praying in Jesus' name is more than just saying words at the end of a prayer. It means standing in His will and representing Him with confidence.
Duane also shows how God's mercy reveals His heart to heal. Psalm 103 declares that God forgives our iniquities and heals our diseases, while the ten lepers cried out to Jesus for mercy and were healed as they went. Opposition, hindrances, and battles may come against our faith, but God's willingness to heal is not the issue. Discover why knowing who God is gives us confidence to believe Him for healing.

How can we know with confidence that it is God's will to heal when our experiences sometimes seem to say otherwise? We cannot base our confidence on what we see around us. Our confidence must come from God's Word and the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Every day, we are planting seeds that shape our future. The words we speak, the thoughts we nurture, and the way we treat others all contribute to the harvest we will eventually see. The seeds we choose to plant today will influence the harvest we reap tomorrow.
If it is God's will to heal, why aren't all healed? God's desire for our lives doesn't mean His will happens automatically. His will does not change because of what we go through, our circumstances, or what we see happening around us.
Do you believe that it's God's will to heal? Our experiences, disappointments, traditions, or someone else's lack of healing cannot determine our answer. God's Word must establish His will.
Where do we place our confidence? Are we building our confidence based on our accomplishments? When we compare ourselves to others by race, title, background, education, or success, we are placing confidence in ourselves instead of Christ.
