What does it really take to ride a motorcycle through the Himalayas?

In this episode of the JUSTRIDE Podcast, we’re joined by our partners Raj and Manish from Royal Bikers who lead motorcycle expeditions through some of the most breathtaking and challenging places on earth.

From Ladakh and Spiti to Nepal and Bhutan, Royal Bikers take riders far beyond the usual motorcycle tour. This is about altitude, preparation, resilience, brotherhood, local knowledge and the kind of adventure that changes the way you see yourself.

We talk about what riding in the Himalayas actually feels like, why riders need time to acclimatise, what happens when the weather turns, why the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is so well suited to the terrain, and why mental strength matters just as much as riding ability.

Raj and Manish also share the story behind the Headlight Foundation, their social impact initiative supporting remote communities in the regions they ride through.

This one is about much more than motorcycles. It’s about pushing yourself, respecting the mountains, giving back, and creating stories that stay with you for life.

What happens when someone who once struggled with severe anxiety decides to get on a motorcycle and just keep going? In this episode of the JUSTRIDE Podcast, we're joined by motorcycle traveller, reviewer and content creator Jade Rides. Jade has ridden motorcycles across 22 countries, including an epic solo journey through 19 countries to Georgia and back. But, as we discover, the reason that adventure started wasn't quite what you'd expect… “It was completely out of spite.” 😂 We talk about how motorcycling helped Jade deal with anxiety and build confidence, travelling alone across Europe, tackling the Stella Alpina, riding the Wild Atlantic Way and Pyrenees, and why sometimes the best approach to motorcycle travel is to stop overplanning and just go. Jade also tells us the incredible story of finding a tiny puppy at the side of the road in Kosovo, putting her in a tank bag and eventually bringing not one — but TWO — rescue dogs home. We also get into: 🏍️ Going from a Suzuki VanVan to riding across 22 countries 🌍 Solo motorcycle travel and overcoming anxiety 🐶 Rescuing Lucky and Max while travelling 🏁 Riding the Norton Manx R on track 🇮🇸 Testing the new Norton Atlas in Iceland 🎥 The reality of becoming a motorcycle content creator 💛 Jade and Street Twin Kim's work with Endo Riders 🇳🇵 Plans for a future women's motorcycle trip to Nepal ⚡ The future of motorcycling, electric bikes and emerging manufacturers ⛺ Why Jade thinks some motorcycle-specific camping gear is… “crap” It's funny, open and at times incredibly personal and one of those conversations that reminds you just how much motorcycling can change someone's life.
