Old Time Retro Radio presents Tales of the Texas Rangers, “The Trap,” episode 33, originally broadcast on NBC on February 25, 1951. Joel McCrea stars as Texas Ranger Jace Pearson in this contemporary Ranger procedural.
In West Texas, a truckload of automobile radios is diverted by a false road-warning setup and hijacked. The series drew on Texas Ranger case-file traditions, with Captain M. T. “Lone Wolf” Gonzaullas serving as technical adviser.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
