ART. The boys chat to Cork artist Sarah Long about her work - and then tackle the big questions: what is art for? Is the death penalty bad? And what does Blindboy look like?? - Sarah Long's exhibition 'I Want to Talk About Ireland' is on display at the Triskel in Cork until October 25. - RECOMMENDEDs: Doctor Who, 'Vincent and the Doctor' (2010)
More from Wet Cold Irish Summer
Mmmm... memento mori. This week the boys go underground for Halloween season, peering into the 18th century crypt hidden beneath the Triskel Arts Centre in the middle of Cork city. PLUS: how we'd like to be buried/ground into dust, and a violent spat with a local pizza place. - - "Shadowlands 4 - Breath" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
BE EMERGENCY READY. The government's little booklet has frightened the boys into staying indoors this week. Stock up on cans, set your portable radio to Wet Cold Irish Summer, and wedge your head between your knees to preserve your dental records. - RECOMMENDEDs:
The boys explore Europe's largest walled park - but Ross' mind is elsewhere. - Music credit: Hall of the Mountain King by Kevin MacLeod • Edvard Grieg | http://incompetech.com Royalty Free Music by https://www.free-stock-music.com Creative Commons / Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
Alma matters. Ross takes the boys on a tour of his old stomping grounds at UCC. It's a trip back in time both physically and psychologically, threatening to unravel Ross' psyche in a kind of sick butterfly effect paradox. We should never have come here. It's not natural.
Recorded at the Elysian in Cork. Why are there so many 9/11 jokes when 9/11 was sad? We have figured it out. Let's (hot chicken fillet) roll. PLUS: Discussion of Charlie Kirk, who is reportedly critically injured.
