🍀 Welcome back to A Celtic State of Mind! We are the award-winning ACSOM podcast and fan channel. We bring you daily debate, match previews, post-match reactions, and exclusive interviews from the heart of the Celtic community.

Today, the panel pulls no punches as we dissect the fallout from the latest Celtic PLC annual report, the collapsing financials, and Michael Nicholson’s hollow statement to the London Stock Exchange. With Celtic’s revenue plummeting by 22.7% to £111m and cash reserves dropping by £11m due to our catastrophic Champions League qualifying collapse against LASK Linz, CEO Michael Nicholson has finally broken his silence to offer an "apology".

But for the Parkhead faithful, this empty apology is the final insult. How can the board apologise for a "qualifying calamity" when their own lack of ambition, recruitment paralysis, and transfer window failures caused it in the first place?

We dive deep into the board's structural mismanagement, the lack of an elite recruitment strategy despite sitting on £66.4m in the bank, and why the blame lies squarely at the top with Nicholson and Dermot Desmond. We also tackle the growing uncertainty around Martin O’Neill’s future after Nicholson publicly backed him despite back-to-back Glasgow Derby defeats and a painful loss to Ferencvaros.

🍀 Is Nicholson using the manager as a smokescreen to distract from the boardroom turmoil? 🍀 What is your take on the Celtic financial results? 🍀 Has Michael Nicholson officially run out of road at Paradise?
