Do You Expect God to Heal? Hearing God’s Voice in Luke 6:6-11 | Daily Devotional and Bible Study
The Pharisees came to the synagogue that day specifically to watch whether Jesus would heal. Think about what that means. His enemies had more expectation than most of us walk in with.
Today in our daily Bible study we finish the Sabbath section of Luke 6. We start with the bread of the Presence and what David's story has to do with any of this, then move to the man with the withered right hand. Jesus puts him in the middle of the room, asks a question that reframes the entire debate, and heals him without ever touching him. By the end, men who had been filled with awe a few chapters earlier are filled with rage, and the reason why is worth sitting with.

Questions we answer today
What was the bread of the Presence, and why could only priests eat it? Why does it matter that Scripture never condemns David for eating it? Why is Lord lowercase in some Bibles, and which is right? Why was a withered right hand the perfect test case for the Pharisees? What turned their awe into fury?
