Our guest today is Patience Hodgson. Patience stole the nation’s hearts as the lead of iconic Brissie band The Grates for nearly two decades. These days Patience still plays but in more select venues and occasions - with one of those excellent occasions being a special appearance at Small Fry Rock, the all ages gigs run by KJ Tainton that really do tick all the boxes for families enjoying music together. We’re thrilled to have you here, and still hopelessly devoted to you - Patience! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This episode we speak to Bella Jessen. A musician, student and genuine young person, Bella got in touch with us for a project she was doing on mothers and listening - we couldn't resist! In this chat she asks us questions as well as the other way around, and it's a lovely way to explore how music can help us build our identities, as well as learn who our parents and carers are as people, rather than just people we roll our eyes at when we're teenagers. You can catch Bella's music at Crushed Lavender and The Robbies - a future star for sure!
