Melissa Auf der Maur on her AGO exhibition & book 'My '90s Photographs', with Lana Gay
Indie88 PodcastsShow Notes
Melissa Auf der Maur may have been known best as the bass player for Hole and the Smashing Pumpkins, but the mystical Montrealer is back with more art and more insight into a game changing decade in culture: the 1990s. As an artist who got her start in photography, she has returned as your archivist and documentarian of the last years of analogue and the pre-corporate takeover of rock 'n roll, showing you years 1991-2001 through her personal lens. A photo book companion piece to her memoir, Even The Good Girls Will Cry, will be released September 8 the with an accompanying exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario, called My ‘90s Rock Photographs. We dive deep into the stories and memories that shape this new exhibition. Dive in! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
