Against The Spread : PFI's Week 7 NFL Betting Podcast w/SBK
Pro Football Ireland : The Irish NFL PodcastSummary
As Week 7 of the NFL season approaches, analysts Megan McQueen and Davo McKee reflect on the previous week’s games and discuss upcoming matchups. They highlight the impressive performance of the Carolina Panthers and the Houston Texans, both of which exceeded expectations in their recent games. The duo notes the unpredictability of team performances as the season progresses, emphasizing the challenges in betting on games where team dynamics can shift rapidly.
A significant injury update comes with the news that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is out for the season due to blood clots, leading McKee to speculate that the Eagles' chances for success this season are severely diminished. The NFC East appears chaotic, with the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders struggling to find form, while the New York Giants are also faltering. The analysts suggest that betting against the Eagles in upcoming games may be a prudent strategy.
Looking ahead to the Steelers vs. Saints game in Paris, McKee and McKee analyze the strengths and weaknesses of both teams. They express confidence in the Steelers, particularly due to the Saints' injury concerns and their inconsistent offensive performance. The conversation shifts to betting strategies, with both analysts sharing their best bets and prop picks for the week, including potential standout performances from players like Jalen Warren and Alvin Kamara.
As they wrap up, the analysts encourage listeners to consider various betting angles, including spreads and player props, while also reminding them to gamble responsibly. The discussion underscores the excitement and unpredictability of the NFL season, as fans and bettors alike prepare for another thrilling week of football.
