Tonight on After Hours Cinema: From the desk of Pete: It's the MONTH OF ACTION and Anna delighted in torturing Pete by making him finally watch Armageddon (1998). Wait, ha Pete's never seen Armageddon? It's true, Pete purposefully avoided the film for 28 years and has told everyone for years how much he hates it. Anna sat his butt down and pulled the parent card saying, "Well if you haven't tried it, then how do you know you don't like it?" Never argue with Mom logic. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying. Thankfully, Pete did not take this opportunity to completely dump all over this movie but instead had a rip-roaring conversation with his bestie. 'Eye's roll and belly's laugh' is a good description so please enjoy our departure from the usual weird late-night garbage we watch and strap in for a ride.

Tonight on After Hours Cinema: From the desk of Pete- "This is probably the oldest movie AHCRAP has covered, and we can't blame listeners if they've never seen Don Knotts or maybe even don't know who he is. Frankly, comedic actors like Kristin Wiig, Rowan Atkins, and Jim Carrey owe a great deal to Don for the success of their style. While the jokes in this film are dated, they are timeless and we strongly recommend putting yourself in the shoes of a movie goer in 1966 rather than comparing it to anything in the present day. The Ghost and Mr. Chicken is a delightfully spooky comedy that's appropriate for all ages and is a fun gateway horror movie to indoctrinate any young cinephile. BTW, Anna and Pete get the giggles talking about the movie so bare with us as we gush over this one. Shout out to our fathers who sat us down at a young age to watch it with us."
Tonight, on After Hours Cinema: From the desk of Pete- "While it's not actually a Hammer production, the movie Lady Frankenstein feels like one in every possible way. Gothic sets, mad scientists, village mobs, a grotesque monster and, of course, plenty of nudity. Lady Frankenstein is a surprisingly pro-feminist film while being typically exploitative of the genre. I'm not sure this one has great rewatchability, but it's certainly worth a viewing."
Who Made Who?! Who Made You?! We ain't here to discuss philosophy, but we are here to talk…HORROR?! Buckle up as we kick off the Month of Horror with a head banging, cocaine fueled ride into the mind of Stephen King with 1986’s MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE! Bask in the smell of diesel fuel and nostalgia as Charlie and Mickey discuss their personal ties to the film and Dustin waxes poetic on his love of horror. We also have special guests in the house with Big D's co-hosts from The Barrens Hideout, Anna and Little D! Have fun, but be careful not to get steamrolled in all the excitement!
Tackling a movie the likes of Ghostbusters is daunting for a podcast. I mean, what HASN'T been said about this movie. There's literally nothing we can talk about that's already been covered countless times on other, and most likely, better shows. So how do we bring you an entertaining show without rehashing the same trivia? Well, we do it Give Me Back style with a whole heap of personal nostalgia and our experiences with the movie from our youth. You won't get any movie facts in this show. Just a fun walk down memory lane. Enjoy!
***DANGER TO MANIFOLD*** We’re shifting into NOS-fueled nostalgia as we rip open the movie that started it all — Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Corona bottles, quarter-mile lives, and dialogue that should not work but absolutely does. We talk about why the first Fast and Furious film still hits hard and is definitely a top contender in the franchise with practical stunts that actually mattered, that buster-to-brother arc, and whether Dom Toretto was already the most quotable philosopher in action movies. So buckle up for Family, felonies, and really bad DVD player robberies — let’s ride.... A quarter mile at a time
