2phonejapes - Moods & Grooves #54

2phonejapes - Moods & Grooves #54 | Deep House / Soulful House Mix

Slow-burning basslines, dusty percussion and warm soulful textures shape a journey rooted deeply in the South African house tradition. The flow moves from the vocal warmth of The Layabouts & Imaani into the restrained late-night depth of Chronical Deep, Mr Shane SA & Artwork Sounds and Pando G, gradually settling into richer, more hypnotic territory. La Four SA and House Victimz bring a rawer underground pulse, while Lira adds an expressive soulful moment before Thorne Miller’s remix and Leix’s deep reconstruction pull the closing stretch toward spacious, stripped-back grooves. It is a patient, understated session where melody never overwhelms the rhythm and every transition leaves room for the groove to breathe.

Predominant Style: Deep House / Soulful House with South African House and Afro-influenced elements.

On Air Every 2 Weeks on Fridays: 9:00 GMT | 11:00 CEST | 5:00 EDT | 12:00 GMT+3
