Welcome to Media Club Plus: a podcast about diving into the media that interests us and the stories that excite us. Sometimes a hunter has to kill. In Hunter x Hunter sometimes a hunter has to kill for love. Sometimes that's heroic, and sometimes that's scary. I guess it's more about who you kill, and how mean you seem while doing it. Luckily our friends Gon and Killua don't seem very mean at all. And neither do their new assassin adversaries, which is also lucky. Palm on the other hand, Palm Siberia, she's scary. Scarier even than the full suite of Chimera Ant Royal Guards, now fully splatted out from their egg things. As always we are brought to you by Friends at the Table. This season, we're watching 2011's Hunter x Hunter, based on the manga by Yoshihiro Togashi. In this episode we cover episodes 86-88, titled Promise x and x Reunion, Duel x and x Escape, and Rock Paper Scissors x and x Weakness. Next episode we'll be covering episodes 89-92, titled Compassion x And x Strength, Slow x and x Cursed, The Strong x and x The Weak, and One Wish x And x Two Promises. Featuring Keith Carberry (@KeithJCarberry, @KeithJCarberry), Jack de Quidt (@notquitereal, @jdq) Sylvi Bullet (@SYLVIBULLET, @SYLVIBULLET) and Andrew Lee Swan (@swandre3000, @swandre3000) Produced by Keith Carberry Music by Jack de Quidt (available at notquitereal.bandcamp.com) Cover Art by by Annie Johnston-Glick (@dancynrew) anniejg.com To find the screenshots for this episode, check out this post on our patreon, friendsatthetable.cash This episode was made with support from listeners like you!
