Fighting Americans: Kicking Up Dust | Steve Schmidt & Louisiana Senate Candidate Jamie Davis
The Warning with Steve SchmidtShow Notes
Could Louisiana deliver one of election night’s biggest surprises? Steve Schmidt sits down with U.S. Senate candidate Jamie Davis, a third-generation farmer who says his latest polling has him just four points behind — and believes a coalition of Democrats, independents and disaffected Republicans can finish the job. Davis talks candidly about soaring costs crushing farmers, corporate power, Louisiana’s political culture, massive data centers threatening land and water, and why Democrats cannot call themselves a national party while writing off the Deep South. Most compelling is the story Davis tells about Louisiana landowners quietly approaching him with four words: “I’m voting for the farmer.” Part of the Save America Movement's "Fighting Americans" series. Steve Schmidt and Dean Blundell kick things off with early voting underway, voter registration fights in Texas and California, and a whole lot of money pouring into the midterms. Elon Musk is opening his wallet for Ken Paxton, while Trump's PAC is spending big in states Republicans should already have locked down. Then it's over to the White House, where Katie Zacharia's debut as press secretary has become a continuous embarrassment. After calling herself a lawyer despite never passing the bar exam, Steve and Dean were ready to give her a participation trophy, but she was fired before she could celebrate her one-week anniversary.
