Saturday 19 September 2026 Prayer During the Day for Saturday in Ordinary Time
Time To Pray: Common Worship Day and Night PrayerSummary
A reflective prayer emphasizes the divine attributes of love, faithfulness, and forgiveness, expressing gratitude for God's kindness and the salvation offered through Jesus Christ. The prayer acknowledges the suffering endured by Christ, including his crucifixion and resurrection, and recognizes the omnipresence of God, asserting that there is no place one can go to escape His spirit.
The discussion transitions to a reading from the book of Revelation, highlighting the worthiness of the Lamb to open the scroll and the significance of the prayers of the saints. A call to prayer follows, focusing on various needs, including peace among nations, support for public officials, and aid for those suffering from hunger, sickness, or loneliness.
The prayer concludes with a personal supplication for God's presence in all aspects of life, followed by the recitation of the Lord's Prayer, reinforcing themes of faith, provision, and divine protection. The session encapsulates a deep spiritual reflection and a communal plea for guidance and mercy.
