More from The Bravo Docket
Legal team, we are ending our coverage on the ladies from the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip here. On the docket this week is Real Housewives of New York icon Luann de Lesseps featuring a recap of an earlier episode we did about her arrest (linked below), as well as the lawsuits she faced from her ex-husband, Alexandre, and her two children, Victoria and Noel, which she found out about through the press and then proceeded to blame her relapse on. We go through the details of her plea agreement, probation, and the preliminary injunction that helped resolve the family lawsuit. And we also discuss how her arresting officer ended up getting charged himself for crimes that were a complete failure of our justice system. Listen until the end to hear us answer some more of your questions from our last Q&A — what made us become lawyers? Are we going to Bravo Fan Fest? And, how do we manage work/life balance? Life's a divorce, an arrest, and a cabaret: Luann de Lesseps What’s on the docket? Why Angela is wearing an eye patch Background on Luann The Colony Hotel incident Luann’s charges and conditions under her plea agreement Alexandre, Victoria, and Noel’s filed complaint against Luann What is a preliminary injunction How the family lawsuit ended (what we know and what we assume happened) Luann’s probation violation hearing and her conditions Our thoughts about Luann on RHUGT The 14 victim federal civil rights lawsuit against Luann’s arresting officer Answering additional questions from our last Q&A Our thoughts on RHONY and RHOSLC
Legal team, we are continuing our series on the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip ladies and also closing out our discourse on Porsha Williams, RHOA star, and her legal cases. If you haven’t listened to last week’s episode, we go through her divorces from both Kordell Stewart and Simon Guobadia. On the docket this week is Porsha’s defamation lawsuit that Simon filed against her, which overlaps with the divorce timeline. In July 2024, Porsha posted four slides on her Instagram stories, to her 7.7 million followers at the time, sharing information on erectile dysfunction with the hashtag #menshealthawareness only months after her and Simon filed for divorce. Even though Simon was not named in the posts, blogs took it and ran with it, as well as the public, and later that year, Simon filed a federal complaint against Porsha asserting defamation per say, infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy. We’re diving into Simon’s complaint, Porsha’s counter-arguments, and where this lawsuit currently stands.
Legal team, we have another episode in our series covering the legal issues of the real housewives on Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th. On the docket this week is Porsha Williams, star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, and her various lawsuits involving her ex-husbands. As a housewife cast member, Porsha has really grown, and although her love life is in the best place it’s ever been right now, her legal issues from her past relationships with former NFL player Kordell Stewart and entrepreneur Simon Guobadia are far from sweet. From contentious divorces to deportation issues, to having to ask the Georgia court to enforce her prenup — Porsha has been through the wringer with these men. Once a trad wife learns from one irretrievably broken marriage, she’ll make sure there’s a favorable prenup in the next one!
Legal team, we are continuing our series on Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th covering the legal issues of the participants in the show. On the docket this week is a housewife we’ve not covered before - Gizelle Bryant from The Real Housewives of Potomac. Gizelle has been in litigation for years following the death of her father Curtis Graves, who was a prominent figure in civil rights history. Alongside her siblings, Gizelle fought against her step-mother over her father’s will and estate. We discuss the importance of having your affairs in order for the sake of your loved ones, read out excerpts from Gizelle’s deposition testimony, and share the judge’s final verdict. This is an emotional episode, but one that is extremely relatable to not only us, but to anyone dealing with the passing of their parents. What’s on the docket? Bravo’s write-up on Gizelle’s dad How important it is to have a will Highlights from Curtis Graves’ will Gizelle and her siblings’ objections Excerpts from Gizelle’s deposition Kaye’s (Curtis Graves’ wife) motion for summary judgment Property law and rules of wills The judge’s decision Cesie’s trial and the importance of visuals in court Trivia question about the origin of legal doublets
Legal team, Cesie is here to continue our Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip series on behalf of the show’s ‘Roaring 20th’ special. On the docket this week, Cesie is giving updates on both Vicki Gunvalson and Lisa Barlow’s legal issues. We’ve covered all of these before (prior episodes linked below), but more has unfolded in both housewives’ cases. Cesie breaks down what happened between Vicki’s company, Coto Insurance, and plaintiff, one of her clients. Is this a case of bad financial consulting, or even elder abuse? Plus Vicki is now trying to bring her OWN claims against her client! Then Cesie dives into Lisa’s legal trouble with her brand Vida Tequila. In Lisa’s Watch What Happens Live appearance and at the Dismissed Lunch, she stated that all of the legal cases against her had been dismissed, but in doing some late-night digging, Cesie figured out that there might be more to the story. Salt Lake City Roundup Part 2: Vida Tequila on the Rocks Whoop It Up... in Court?
