Summary
Ohio veterans express their discontent regarding Senator Sherrod Brown's policies, particularly criticizing his support for taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants. They argue that while they served in the military and earned their benefits, Brown has prioritized financial support for undocumented individuals over veterans' healthcare, including attempts to eliminate VA health services.
The veterans emphasize their commitment to the country and feel betrayed by Brown's actions, claiming he has broken promises made to them. They highlight his collaboration with figures like Bernie Sanders to extend social security and healthcare to illegal immigrants, which they believe undermines the sacrifices made by those who served in the armed forces. The sentiment among the veterans is one of frustration and a call for accountability regarding the allocation of taxpayer dollars.
