Show Notes
The GM Shuffle presented by DraftKings and VSiN returns with a loaded episode covering the biggest NFL storylines heading into the final week of the preseason.
Hosts Femi Abebefe and former NFL general manager Marty Hurney break down the Cleveland Browns officially naming Deshaun Watson their Week 1 starting quarterback, the complicated salary-cap implications of his contract, and whether Cleveland could eventually turn to rookie Shedeur Sanders.
The episode also covers Geno Smith and the New York Jets' promising preseason performance, Michael Penix Jr.'s return to 11-on-11 work with the Falcons, Baker Mayfield's confidence in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Mike Vrabel's comments about the Patriots' roster depth.
Then, the show dives deep into the AFC West, examining all four teams:
đ Kansas City Chiefs: Can Patrick Mahomes return to form and lead Kansas City back to the Super Bowl?
đ Los Angeles Chargers: Can Justin Herbert and Jim Harbaugh finally break through in the AFC playoffs, and what will new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel bring to the offense?
đ Denver Broncos: Why are the Broncos being overlooked after earning the AFC's No. 1 seed last season? Marty Hurney explains why Bo Nix, Jalen Waddle and Sean Payton could make Denver a serious contender.
đ Las Vegas Raiders: How quickly could No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza take over for Kirk Cousins? The guys discuss Mendoza's impressive preseason, Clint Kubiak's new-look Raiders and the team's outlook for 2026.
Plus, the guys discuss George Kittle's remarkable recovery from a torn Achilles, San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling, Joey Porter Jr.'s contract situation with the Steelers, and much more.
