The Adventures of Superman | Old Time RadioShow Notes
The Adventures of Superman presents “The Mystery of the Sleeping Beauty, Part 14,” originally broadcast on February 1, 1945. This 15-minute Mutual Broadcasting System wartime serial installment was sponsored by Kellogg’s Pep and stars Bud Collyer as Clark Kent/Superman, with Jackie Kelk as Jimmy Olsen.
In the jungle territory of the Illyria storyline, Superman faces fresh danger as a Japanese enemy and a looming threat to his companions intensify the adventure. Part 14 continues the 20-part serial’s peril-filled wartime mystery without resolving its larger conflict.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
