DRAGONS SEASON REVIEW: Flanagan Sacked, 0/11 Start & Is There Light at the End of the Tunnel?

League of Inches

Show Notes

The St George Illawarra Dragons have endured a nightmare 2026 season, but is there light at the end of the tunnel for the Red V? We look back on a disastrous campaign that saw the Dragons start the year 0/11, Shane Flanagan sacked ahead of the Round 8 ANZAC Day clash against the Roosters, and their first win not arriving until Round 13 against the Broncos. We discuss the ongoing halves dilemma involving Kyle Flanagan, Dan Atkinson, Lykhan King-Togia and Kade Reed, how an ageing spine held the side back, and whether the Dragons have the foundations to turn things around. But it's not all doom and gloom, with a seriously talented young forward pack giving Dragons fans plenty of reason for optimism heading into 2027. What needs to change for the Dragons to get back on track?
