From electrician to UFC Commentator: John Gooden
Project Possible with Rich Leigh - interviews that might just change your lifeShow Notes
John Gooden is a UFC commentator and broadcaster who has spent more than a decade calling fights around the world.
He's worked cageside for the UFC alongside names like Michael Bisping, Daniel Cormier and Dan Hardy, bringing fans inside the action of mixed martial arts at the highest level.
Before getting there, John’s journey took him through the City, the BBC, electrical work with his father, and years immersed in the UK MMA scene before finally breaking into broadcasting.
In this conversation we talk about that journey, the sacrifices required to stay in the UFC, and what it’s really like sitting cageside calling fights inside the Octagon.
We talk about UFC London, the White House card, his time with Conor McGregor, his thoughts about Dana White, weight cutting, Tom Aspinall, Nina Marie and much more.

Interviews that might just change your life. And if not…? You’ll probably enjoy them anyway.
While we're all trying to be better versions of ourselves, this podcast asks: 'what's truly possible?'
Project Possible, hosted by me, Rich Leigh, explores this with incredible guests from the world of business, sport, entertainment and academia.
Between the second and third series, I made the decision to go full-time on this show.
I sold my successful 10 year old PR agency after my youngest brother Jordan took his own life. I realised that I needed to run towards passion, purpose and positive impact, and my dream of this being my career.
Possibilists, pull up a pew.
