In this episode, the Superfriends discuss Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). For Christians, what Yom Kippur represents is very encouraging because we know that Jesus is our substitute and he turned away God's wrath for our sins; Jesus is the atonement that was promised and to which Leviticus 16 and 23 point to. In this episode, Dr. Clark considers a question that has troubled philosophers for centuries, "is the world that we experience with our five senses real, or just and illusion?" but Dr. Clark says that the world was made to be known, and you were made to know it. Young people today are having a crisis of confidence of their sense experience and they often "self-identify," conflating the categories of sex and gender, contrary to the nature of the creation order. In this episode, Dr. Clark opens the coffer and answers a question about the nature of the lying spirit in 1 Kings 22:19-23. We have to be careful when asking questions that Scripture do not specifically give us the answers to, but this passage does give us an opportunity to give thanks to God that he graciously chose us and brought us to true faith and new life in Jesus Christ.
