Weinstein was known as the King of Hollywood & THE producer, able to make or break anyone’s career. Weinstein was not satisfied with merely being one of the biggest players in Hollywood, rich, successful, having his movies highly decorated every awards season, being thanked more than even god in Oscar speeches & having a wife & kids to go home to. None of this was enough for Weinstein, & he spent day in, day out, preying on & attacking young actresses who were meeting with him to try to& get their big break in Hollywood. Weinstein had a lot of help to continue his disgusting crimes, & to cover them up for decades, he was almost untouchable. Only because of some brave women who were survivors of Weinstein & some brave journalists was the truth about Weinstein finally revealed & he was finally unmasked as a monster. One aspect of Weinstein’s history that is almost never discussed in recent years is his Oscars campaign, & how he used his fame, Oscar nominations & wins to lure in scores of young actresses. So that’s what we’re discussing today, Harvey Weinstein and his long history of lies, bullying, manipulation & bribery to secure constant award show nominations and wins for his films, and himself, in order to dangle a career as a Best Actress Oscar winner at the women he preyed on. We’ll also be covering his relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow & the part she played in Weinstein’s story, as it was Gwyneth Paltrow’s career above all others that Harvey Weinstein offered up to other women, trying to get them to give into his twisted, disgusting advances. Chris Hansen is an extremely nuanced figure, some him as a professional & ethical god that cannot be criticised & others see him as a self obsessed narcissist who only cares about money, fame & himself. This debate is set to explode over the coming weeks & months with the release of a new movie, Primetime starring Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen. Robert Pattinson is set to give an Oscar worthy performance as Chris Hansen in the new a24 movie, Primetime, & many have said Chris Hansen is portrayed as a wild ego driven lunatic. Chris Hansen himself has spoken out a lot about the movie, even though he hasn’t seen it, claiming Primetime lacks authenticity & admonishing the director & creatives behind the film for not reaching out to him. For several months leading up to the films release, Hansen spoke in many interviews & on his own youtube channel about toying with pursuing legal action, although after the films release Chris Hansen has said he is no longer likely to pursue a lawsuit. Of course given the fact that the film is about Chris Hansen, he’d be expected to give his opinion on it. But given how much he’s speaking about it & the amount of content he’s making about it, many people have speculated he doesn’t dislike this movie as much as he claims to.
Elizabeth Holmes thinks she can convince people she wasn’t lying… & I’m worried it’s going to work. Elizabeth Holmes is currently serving an eleven year prison sentence in Texas after she was convicted for three counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in relation to her company Theranos. Although the wire fraud was in relation to half a billion dollars, whistleblowers & journalists who exposed Elizabeth Holmes were always more concerned about the millions of patients who’s health & lives Elizabeth Holmes was gambling with so she could continue to enrich herself. Elizabeth Holmes didn’t care who she hurt, just wanted to keep the hundreds of millions of other peoples money flowing into Theranos to fund her lavish lifestyle of mansions, private jets & the best of everything.
