Robert Podgurski has been writing about magic and practicing the art as well as investigating literature. As part of his magical practices Robert has employed various yogic disciplines, qui gong along with technical mountaineering as part of his syncresis for over two decades. From his perspective poetry, magic, art, climbing and mysticism are all part and parcel of consciousness exploration. In this work Podgurski establishes a practical as well as a scholarly reference for the relationship between sigils, symbols, and writing as an extension of the visionary magical field. As a continuation of this operation Podgurski is launching his forthcoming work, Enochian Sigil Magic prospectively in 2026-27, with Inner Traditions. This monograph encompasses the history of the aethyr in western consciousness as a the vehicle of the soul up to and including the current era. He also establishes the implementation of theurgy and spontaneous magical practices for engaging the aetheric medium in this study. As a primary starting point his research for this book has relied upon Dee’s own annotations within certain seminal Neoplatonic texts from his library. Podgurski has also authored of several works in poetry that are extensions of his engagement with magic. His most recent collection In the Shadow of This Branch, Dos Madres Press was released in 2024. Along with poetry Podgurski has also authored fiction including his forthcoming novel, Beyond the Lens of Time. He holds an BS in Psychology form the University of Pittsburgh, and a MA in literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
