Case 002: The Hounds of Nistrad Keep
After burying his patient and leaving an unnamed village behind, Radulf travels north east from the Wetwood, tended by the woods witch Gudrun before finding at Nistrad keep, a strategic linchpin for the Northern Orthodox nation of Kemovek. Here Red learns of a strange custom among the nobility: intentional self infection with a mutagenic virus to prolong their lives, however it would seem the Lord's son's genetics carry with them a curious reaction to this otherwise lifesaving panacea.
