"Outlining the Personality of the Metropolitan of Kefalonia Gerasimos Phocas of Blessed Memory" This article was written by Metr. Neophytos of Morphou at the request of His Eminence Metr. Demetrios of Kefalonia and it was circulated in the volume Agapis Antidoron: In Memory of Metropolitan Gerasimos Phocas, Argostoli, 2019. It was Metr. Gerasimos that was the person prinicipally responsible for introducing the young law student Homer (now Metr. Neophytos) to the world of contemporary saints of Greece, which later became a source of nourishment and support for him. Gaining experience of modern holiness in Greece allowed Metr. Neophytos, along with Elder Symeon, to know and inspire the living experience of holiness in Cyprus.
