Tell Me Moir

S2 - E08 - Caught in the Middle - Protecting the Child

Tell Me Moir

Show Notes

In the last episode of Tell Me Moir. Season Two, we are looking at how to remain child focussed through it all. From peaceful co-parenting to dumpster fire conflict.

When family conflict becomes overwhelming, it can be easy to lose sight of what matters most, the children. Their safety, wellbeing, care arrangements, routines and voice should remain the priority in every decision. However, this is much easier said than done, especially when allegations of abuse are on the table.

Together with my fantastic guest, Dr Shannon Westgate, Clinical Psychologist, we explore the child’s voice, effective parenting agreements, safer communication, family therapy, what happens when abuse is suspected and practical ways to put children at the centre of all difficult family decisions.

This show was broadcast on OAR 105.4FM Dunedin - oar.org.nz and made thanks to the support of NZ on Air.
