Catch The Vinyl Disco Groove / August 2026

Brass, Funk & Disco — All Vinyl Session

Regrettably I was unable to make it to my radio show last week due to other commitments, so to keep things ticking over I recorded an all vinyl session.

A 124 BPM all-vinyl run through disco and nu-disco pressure, with brass-led hooks, heavyweight bass, clipped guitar and constant movement from the first record to the last. Pulled from the shelves and mixed on wax, this is a warm, physical session made for the dancefloor—where the swing, the edits and the groove do the talking.

Tropical Disco Records, Samosa Records and Dave Lee feature heavily, alongside The Reflex, Dimitri From Paris and Hi Fi Sean. Jazz-funk, boogie, soul, disco classics and contemporary reworks sit together naturally, with the horn sections always close by. From Monsieur Van Pratt and Infradisco through to Cerrone, Fire Island, Earth, Wind & Fire and Mass Production, it is bright, soulful and unapologetically built to move.
