GLP-1s are peptides. The P literally stands for peptide. Your body makes its own GLP-1 after every single meal, and it's gone within a couple of minutes by design. The drugs are that same signal, engineered so it never goes away, and that one difference explains both how well they work and almost everything women struggle with on them. If you want to do this work with me, work with me one on one. I see women every week for peptides, nervous system, nutrition and longevity, and you can book a free 15 minute call with me here. In this episode I break it all down. What a peptide actually is, how peptide drugs are built, and what your own GLP-1 does in your body. Then how to raise your own GLP-1 with protein, soluble fiber, healthy fats, fermented foods, meal order and how fast you eat, with real meal ideas (and why fasting doesn't raise it the way people think). Then I go drug by drug: semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus), tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound), retatrutide, the new oral GLP-1 pill, and generic semaglutide here in Canada. We talk half-life and steady state, what the labels actually say about dosing, what microdosing really means, what's different for women (bone, muscle, fertility and hair loss), and what happens when you come off. I start with a personal story too: I sliced my finger open this week, and how my meditation practice let me regulate my nervous system in the ER. My free GLP-1 boosting recipe booklet for women is coming very soon. Subscribe to the podcast, my Substack, or follow me on Instagram so you hear when it drops.
This is my live masterclass, The Exhale, from September. A few hundred women showed up live, and it's one of my favourite classes I've ever taught, so I'm giving you the whole thing here. We go deep on peptides, longevity and the nervous system, and why the mind and nervous system have to come first before the body work and the advanced tools. I share my own postpartum anxiety story, the pattern I keep seeing in women, and why we can't out-peptide a dysregulated nervous system. Then I break down how cortisol shuts down growth hormone peptides, undoes gut peptides like BPC-157 and KPV, overrides sleep peptides, and why GLP-1s without protein, strength training and nervous system work put your muscle and bones at risk. A note before you press play: about 18 minutes in there's a 12 minute guided future self activation, eyes closed. If you're driving, please don't close your eyes. Just listen, and come back to it when you can sit or lie down. It ends with a full live Q&A: Retatrutide and microdosing, protein hacks and powders, MOTS-c and SS-31, creatine, BPC-157 and TB-500 for inflammation, glutathione, fasting, Kisspeptin before IVF, and labs. If you want to do this work with me, work with me one on one. My three month program is open, I also do one off consultations, and you can book a free 15 minute call.
Part one was how to look like yourself again. Part two was how to feel like yourself again. Part three is who you actually are, and it's the one that decides whether any of it sticks. I open with something heavy from this week: I can't talk about peptides on Instagram anymore. I had to archive about 20 posts, my TikTok was deleted, and I've been blocked from DMs for three days. So I talk about building on borrowed land, and where I can still speak freely. Then the three women I meet over and over. The one who knows exactly what to do and still hasn't started. The one who changes for a few weeks and then life creeps in. And the one who's waiting to feel ready. I go into why willpower runs out, why it's cyclical and tied to your hormones, and the five days I took completely off this month while my HRV sat in the 80s. Then what actually builds it: deciding who she is out loud instead of setting a goal, one decision a day that she would make, changing the inputs instead of the intentions, and refusing to do it alone. Plus the question I asked a client this week that stopped her cold: what does it cost you to feel like this for another year? This is for education, not medical advice. If you want to do this work with me, The Spark is open, and there are three spots left. One on one, 12 weeks, future self activations plus labs, nutrition, protocols and peptides. Join The LongHer Life Longevity Community for women-specific guidance on peptides, hormones, longevity and soul.
Today is how to FEEL like yourself again, and better, because you can get the body and still not feel like you. I start with the sentence I hear on every call: "I just don't feel like myself." Then the three ways it actually shows up. Feeling flat with no spark, even when life looks good on paper. Tired but wired, snapping over nothing, awake at 3 AM. And numb, living in your head, disconnected from your own body. Then the solutions. Breath and long exhales, heart coherence at about six breaths a minute, and what your HRV and resting heart rate are really telling you. The labs I want you to look at, including a four point cortisol test and blood work through Function Health. And the deepest one, the future self activation I do every morning, plus the alignment questions that decide whether any of it sticks. If you want to do this work with me, The Spark is open. One on one, three months, activations plus labs, nutrition, protocols and peptides. There are 8 spots and application calls are 15 minutes.
I don't want you chasing the woman you were two years ago or before kids. I want you stepping into the woman you're becoming. This is part one of a three part series on how to look like yourself again, and better. We get honest about weight and body composition: why lighter doesn't always mean better, why so many women are trading fat for frailty, and why a GLP-1 plateau usually isn't a dose problem. Across published trials of semaglutide and tirzepatide, lean mass makes up 25 to 39% of the weight lost, and muscle is the tissue that keeps your metabolism going. Then I give you my three practical fixes: eat enough protein (one gram per pound of ideal body weight, front loaded in the morning), lift heavy with progressive overload, and stop measuring the wrong thing. I share how I weigh myself around my cycle, why I recommend a DEXA scan once or twice a year, my weekly training split, and the formula I use with every client: regulate your nervous system, build the foundation, then add peptides. If you want me to build this with you, The Spark, my 12 week one on one program, is open with only eight spots.
