Washed Gods

Show Notes

Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. It’s been a long time. We shouldn’t have left you, without a dope pod to step to… life has been life’n lately as we like to say. The holiday season brings out the fake feels. We came back to bring you the real. The three of us have been keeping our head down during these trying times. The quote “all the world’s ill’s…” hasn’t been more true to form than as of late. The artist, businessman, & father Young Dolph was killed in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee this past week. We talked about the dynamic relationship between rap music & violence. How it’s effecting the way the world looks at our music, & what it means for the future generations of artists coming up in this industry. In other unfortunate music news, Travis Scott can’t shake the AstroWorld backlash it seems. Since the annual festival was cancelled due to a number of injuries & 9 deaths, lawsuits have been filed against La Flame, Drake, & Apple Music. The total amount of the suit is to the tune of 2 billion dollars. There was a lot to unpack here. We talked about the responsibility of artists to maintain the safety of the fans at shows.

Kanye West sat down with the Drink Champs for not one, but two very entertaining interviews. We talked about the highlights of their conversation. We talked about how good it was to see him in his element. Among friends and not just media pundits looking for a hit take. They were definitely in there though! All the things you love about the Gods of the Pods are back. Except the visuals (Taji’s be back soon). Oh and Washed Moments. We forgot to do those this week. We got y’all next time. What we’ve been watching/listening to are in there. And we’ll be giving you more content soon. Stay tuned. WNWU. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.

Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. Episode 97. What a week. Lots of close calls and drunken falls. But we survived. And that’s all that matters we did a Washed Gods x Black On Purpose joint Podcast this week. Which is part of the reason we were so wasted. We talked about the FBI raiding Donald Trumps home Ma-ra-lago. Angela Yee is leaving the the Breakfast Club, and we discussed that as well. The Game dropped an album this week. It includes an Eminem diss. It’s also ten minutes long. So there’s that. And we ended with a recap of our Washed On Purpose episode with Illa, Jay-Fab, & Sho. Washed Moments and what we’ve been watching and listening to rounded out the pod. “All the worlds ills…” you know the drill. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black!

Washed Gods. Washed. Never Washed Up. What up Gods & Goddesses?!! Hope all is well with all our listeners. You’re catching the Gods as at a high this week. We’ve been doing the things. And then pod’n about it. Sean just got back from NY (hence the name of the pod). Draft has been…. Well, being Draft. We talked about losing Bill Russell this week. RIP to the Celtics legend. A major loss to the NBA veteran family. We also discussed Mase’s recent interview on Million Dollars Worth Of Game. He was there to respond to Fivio Foreign’s accusations of locking him into a bad deal and not helping him push his career. Short topic list this week. We rounded out the pod with what we’ve been listening to and watching this week. And of course our “Washed Moments”. That’s about it. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.

What up Gods & Goddesses? Welcome back. You’re rocking with the best. We’ve been busy with life. Ready for summer to be over with. It’s enough. The heat. The bbq’s. All of it. Hanging out is overrated. Inflation is at an all time high. Walmart & Target have decided to “rollback” prices on produce & food in order to reduce waste. Hot pockets & pizza bites for the hood. Fivio Foreign talked about his deal with Mase on Million Dollars Worth of Game. Stating he got $5K for a deal that he’s still currently in. Another moment where we assessed the details of the music industry as we know it. Monkey Pox is on the rise. Let’s make it plain… it seems like they’re trying to make diseases hilarious. So will we. Monkey’s have never not been funny. You want people to take it seriously, call it something else. We talked about the latest black panther installment, Wakanda Forever. No Chadwick Boseman this go round (Godbless the dead). This means that Shuri and the rest of the Dora Milaje will be supporting the legacy of the Black Panther. Anticipate a lot of memorialized images of King T’challa & the girl power aspects of Marvel’s latest approach to entertainment. What we’ve been watching/listening to rounded out the Podcast. Washed moments mixed in. That’s about it… Washed. Never Washed Up. Like. Subscribe. Share. Stay Black.
