Hello everyone - it’s Nicole again!
Today we’re featuring the pilot episode of Sorry About The Murder, a very Canadian murder mystery fiction podcast set in the nice little Canadian town of Beavermount, Ontario.
Every day in the nice little Canadian town of Beavermount, Ontario, a Zamboni driver has to solve a murder to clear his Québecois name…and the ice for the nightly hockey game. Sorry About The Murder is kinda like Murder She Wrote meets Prairie Home Companion meets Letterkenny.
Personally, I binged all of Season 1 and was thoroughly charmed by the kooky cast of characters. It’s delightfully odd in the best possible way.
You can find Sorry About The Murder anywhere you get your podcasts. And now, I hope you enjoy the episode!

Hello intrepid listeners! Today, we've got a trailer for a new sci-fi audio drama from our friends at Voyage Media. And they've put together a pretty awesome creative team.
Today’s episode is supported by (and fully features!) Who The F**k Killed My Sister, a murder mystery podcast that follows an amateur detective hunting for her sister's killer while dodging danger at every turn.
Hi folks! It’s Nicole Knudsen here, with yet another audio drama recommendation for you: Death by Dying! It’s a whimsical, dark comedy fiction podcast about murder mysteries, the twists and turns of grief, and three adorable man-eating cats. In the charming town of Crestfall, Idaho, The Obituary Writer finds himself deeply in over his head as he investigates a series of strange and mysterious deaths…when he is simply supposed to be writing obituaries. Blending humor and tragedy, Death by Dying aims to make it easier to talk about loss and grief in a world where life feels just as absurd as death. Which, speaking of… If you enjoyed the dark absurdity that’s present throughout much of The Godfrey Audio Guide, then I think you’ll love this show. There are certain, shall we say, supernatural quirks within the town of Crestfall that would feel right at home at the Estate. You can find and listen to Death by Dying anywhere you listen to podcasts. But for now, I hope you enjoy their pilot episode!
Hello, intrepid listeners! It’s Nicole again! Today, I’m here to recommend another audio drama that I think you’ll love: Fawx & Stallion! This show is a Victorian mystery-comedy fiction podcast about the best detective team on Baker Street! (Nope, not that one.) In Tink Media’s Audio Delicacies 2022, Fawx & Stallion was described as “not only proof that you can tell funny, joyfully queer stories in historical fiction, but a rallying cry for more of them. A razor-sharp Victorian farce with a solid mystery, genre-perfect sound design, and a found family of characters it barely takes a second to fall in love with." Now, you may recall hearing the Fawx & Stallion trailer previously here on The Godfrey’s feed. But today, we’re featuring the entirety of their pilot episode. And if you listen, you’ll catch both me and James in a fun cameo in the opening scene! Fawx & Stallion is currently on a mid-season hiatus for their second season, which means it’s the perfect time to dive in and get caught up. I hope you enjoy!
