Show Notes
This week, although we're a little early, we're talking Hallowe'en! Jo loves it, Gill hates it, for she is a Hallowe'en Grinch, as has been mentioned before. We also chat a bit about our irrational fears, including Gill's insistence that her fear of the Kingston Bridge in Glasgow is NOT irrational, and Jo's fear of ... holes...you'll have to listen to find out more about that one!
More from It's Five O'Clock Somewhere
This week, we are talking about solo travel. Jo is exceptionally brave, Gill investigates Teletext Holidays, we reminisce about the heady days of life with Tour Manager Ben, Jo touches a Parisian crotch and Gill relives a traumatic day in Barnard Castle...
This week, we attempt to talk productivity and why women are always expected to be busy, and occupied. Except, we decide to talk about literally anything else instead, including the time Gill nearly joined the Scientologists by mistake, thereby thwarting the patriarchy and their outdated notions for us...
This week we dip our distinctly unfashionable toes into the murky world of fashion, to discuss the latest trend of 'Literary Chic.' Jo's trousers provide a wardrobe malfunction, and she invents a new word, which leads to Gill having her best day after rummaging in some long forgotten places! What is Jo's word? What does Gill's rummaging reveal? You'll have to listen and find out!
This week we're talking about Life Admin- what it involves, why it's boring, why we hate it, and why we love the nice man at Halfords who fixes your headlight bulbs. Jo is grown up and serious and talks about wills, Gill lowers the tone as usual.
This week, we veer dangerously close to becoming serious, as we discuss the Femosphere, and whether it can really be classed as feminism, if it is a new thing, and if it is ever acceptable to use a mini sausage from a tin of sausage and beans as a cocktail garnish...?
