Matter of Fact: A play on "matter" (physics) and "facts" (news).

Show Notes

The stand-up performance highlights the exhausting reality of modern travel, where the stress of adjusting work schedules, luggage restrictions, and maintaining a perfect social media image often outweighs the actual enjoyment of the trip. Comedians also share personal stories of financial hardship, detailing the struggles of living on a minimal income in windowless housing while navigating the high pressure of the comedy industry. Finally, the set addresses the increasing difficulty of writing comedy in a sensitive online environment, where performers must carefully self-censor to avoid backlash from celebrity fanbases and platform restrictions.
