The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs Browns Game Preview, Verse Comments, Week 8 Picks, And More

October 30, 2026 -

Season 17, Episode 42 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers' big Sunday rematch against the Cleveland Browns and how the winner will be 6-2 and what that means as far as playoff chances go,

Is Sunday a must-win for the Steelers on Sunday against the Browns? We discuss that question during this show as well.

Browns DE Jared Verse has been quite vocal about the rematch against the Steelers, so we discuss what he has had to say this week.

Adam Schefter of ESPN talked recently about what sort of trade compensation the Indianapolis Colts are looking for when it comes to WR Josh Downs, so we discuss that topic for a bit.

In the middle of this show, Alex and I go over the Thursday injury reports that the Steelers and Browns released. We talk about how the Saturday transactions that the Steelers make might be a key indicator when it comes to WR Ben Skowronek returning from his calf injury on Sunday. We also talk about how the Browns might be without RT Tytus Howard on Sunday as well.

With the Week 8 home game against the Browns coming up, Alex and I are joined once again by Scott Petrak, who covers Cleveland at Brownszone.com. Scott provides his insight into the 2026 Browns to date and answers several questions we have about Cleveland’s offense and defense. At the end of our interview, Scott provides us with a final score prediction for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.

If you aren’t already doing so, please follow Scott on X at @ScottPetrak and read his online work here as well.

Following our interview with Scott, Alex and I provide our own full preview of the Steelers’ game against the Browns. We close out that section of the show by giving our final score predictions.

With the rest of Week 8 now close, Alex and I pick the remaining games against the spread. We also provide our final score predictions for the Steelers-Browns game.

This 103-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above, and we end the show by answering several listener emails.
