Show Notes
On this episode of the Acid For Squares Podcast, hosts Cody Blue and Tanya Dahl welcome Shelley Rogers Johnson, also known as A Good Witch. Shelley is an occupational therapist, artist, tarot reader, spiritual teacher, and social media creator known for teaching people how to grow, heal, and develop spiritually while helping to destigmatize the archetype of the witch.
Shelley shares her powerful story of spiritual awakening and personal transformation. Raised in the Mormon church, she opens up about how marijuana helped free her mind from religious indoctrination as a teenager and led her toward questioning, healing, and reclaiming her intuition. She also reveals how she secretly used tarot cards to better understand her patients as an occupational therapist, blending clinical care with spiritual insight in a way that would eventually become central to her work.
In this episode, Shelley discusses witchcraft, tarot, intuition, spirituality, religious deconstruction, Mormonism, breast cancer, spiritual healing, and the life-changing revelations that came through her cancer journey. The conversation culminates with Shelley bringing out her tarot deck and giving Cody and Tanya a masterclass on the art of tarot, explaining how tarot can be used as a tool for reflection, guidance, emotional healing, and personal growth.
This is an episode about breaking free from old beliefs, trusting your intuition, reclaiming your power, and finding magic in the most unexpected places.
