Episode Five released June 9, 2026

➡️ Since our high school years as fans of 2 Live Crew, Poison Clan and Home Team, we have recognized and enjoyed the unique flavour and versatility Debonair305 brought to the rap music game. Little did we know at the time how instrumental he actually was in putting these compositions together.

As young adults, we continued to look back and listen with nostalgia to the classic records and albums he had a hand in creating and appreciating the contributions he had made to the culture.

Now, almost 40 years after first hearing his irresistible vocals and compelling production, Debonair has become a friend of our podcast, and will be featured as a regular contributor and co-host on a new format which will launch during our third season - RAP…the conversation b-sides.

For the die-hards, you’ll be pumped to know Poison Clan have recently returned to the studio and stage to re-capture the chemistry and once again conjure the magic with which fans were first blessed many decades ago. The highly anticipated mixtapes and albums will be coming soon to undoubtedly provide nourishment to loyal followers of the PC family.

Our conversations with Debonair are always thorough and thoughtful. His insights, humility and transparency speak to his rock solid character and it’s always an honour to chop it up with such an established and respected industry veteran.

We hope you enjoy this episode, the latest instalment in our RTC…Legends Series and the second to feature Deb Rock. This sit down is focussed around Home Team’s iconic 1992 release Via Satellite From Saturn. We discuss the album and the circumstances behind the project, which showcases the undeniable and charismatic collaboration between Debonair and his younger brother Drugz.
